Tiger Seal
So with the abnormally dry and warm weather we have had over the past week or so in the North East of Scotland I decided to try and cure a leak.

I started by sealing the foam gasket between the bottom of the windscreen and the bulkhead using a spare tube of tiger seal I had in the garage. I have since read it doesn't have UV protection. Does this mean it will start to break down and I should have used something else?!

I don't think you need to worry about UV in Scotland, 1 sunny day a year isn't going to effect it ! Smile

I've not had any issues with Tiger Seal breaking down/cracking/discolouring over time so my guess is it's not effected by UV to any great extent. I sealed the back of my cab to the "tray" using it in 2004/2005 and it's still fine now. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/

Have to say - I am suitably impressed with the Tiger seal - all the heavy rain we have had these past three days not a drop has leaked in.

Easy 20min job - well worth doing.

Simply involved removing wiper arms, sticking frog tape the full length of the bulk head either side of the seal, applying Tiger Seal, smooth with plastic spatula, wipe up any mess, remove frog tape, refit wipers.
