Um.. Where could the toolkit be hidden? I can't find one. Don't they come with the basics to at least change a wheel?

The wheel brace and bottle jack are normally in the battery box under the passenger seat

Hi Roverboy, to access the battery box grab the front edge of the seat base cushion and yank it up (it should pop out of the retaining clips) pull it forward and set it aside, you can disconnect the plug for the seat heater if fitted.
Under the seat you'll find a flap cut in the mat, pull this back and you'll find the over Centre clip which holds the battery box lid in place. Uncoil this pull the lid forward and set aside, you now have access to the battery box

The driver's side has relays earth etc in it, worth a wee poke around
