TD5 VNT Turbo Conversion
Hey lads recent joiner of defender2.net this subject may have already been discussed but i didn't find much on the forum so please paste link if you know of any.

what i have : 2006 td5 defender station wagon only mod that has been done so far is a remap

what i have ordered from allisport:
VNT turbo, Uprated intercooler, new silicone hoses, EGR removal kit and de-cat exhaust

The question is i'm not sure if i have to order anything else for when i bolt these parts on, i don't want to miss anything and delay the process cause waiting time from UK to Australia is painfully long,

so if you have any suggestions/tips let me know! Bow down

I'm no expert but uprated manifold studs and maybe a dewebbed manifold might be required 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car)
2009 - current .... 2005 zx10r

yeah ok, i only changed the exhaust manifold a couple of months ago and put in the uprated studs, but did not deweb the manifold,

should i buy a new manifold that has been dewebbed or hack into my existing manifold with a grinder as suggested in other posts ive seen?

De webbing is easy to do diy. I just put a slit down the webbing on my old one with a thin cutting disk and combined with longer studs I never had a problem with my old td5 and it was highly tuned. Some people take all the webbing off though
