Did you ever get your insurance sorted? I'm insured with Aviva who charged me about £1500 on a 1985 110 when I was 17. Having the vehicle registered and therefore insured as a van makes it a lot cheaper. When looking for a Defender 110 station wagon I found that lots registered in the 90's were registered as vans.
I also have my father as a second driver (even though he isn't even aloud into the drivers seat) which knocked £100 off if I recall correctly. Lastly listing a yearly mileage should help bring costs down, mine is 6000, I surpass it every year but my insurance doesn't appear to be affected. 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon 1998 Land Rover Defender 110 County Station Wagon ~ Sold 1995 Land Rover Defender 110 V8 Station Wagon ~ Sold 1985 Land Rover 110 ex mod project Tithonus ~ Sold |
