I'll take that as a 'what are you having done tomorrow Wayne'
![]() clutch master cylinder, clutch pedal, new engine and transmission mounts and all rear axle bushes and trailing arms etc. If I still have some of the symptoms it'll have be time to bite the bullet and replace g.box n transfer box ![]() |

Well. We're getting there.
New rear calipers arrive today - something else for me to rein the weekend. I once over heard a wise man say something 'if it ain't broke best fix it' assuming I heard that right what exactly does mean? I've always taken that good advise but doesn't really seemed to worked for me? |

I think you have mis-quoted there.
I thought it was "if it isn't broken, fix it until it is" ![]() Self confessed mileage hunter ![]() |

I'm guessing a sticking / seize piston would explain why I had a varying feel to brake pedal when applying brake ie sensitive then less so.

Come fit my shiny new calipers and would appear the disc is about 5mm too big / calipers too small but only a wee bit?
![]() Looks like the old ones are gonna have to go back on. ![]() I'm guessing these aren't for a 110 my 2010 with abs? ![]() Click image to enlarge And discs look a bit glazed over / shiny / like glass ![]() Click image to enlarge Last edited by Caterham on 16th Apr 2016 4:06pm. bearmach "made in China" now that's another company off my list of those I would trust, also Wayne are you sure you really want to be messing with brakes? you could always go to Halfords and get there brakes for life deal. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

I'd rather fit Bearmach than anything halfords can offer. Fitted many Bearmach disks/pads/calipers over the year and never had any dramas with them.

Thanks mate.
Just back from a wee drive. Brakes seem fine but it's just a matter of time with the pistons being corroded. I have to say the truck seems to be behaving beautifully and i'd go as far as to suggest mechanically my wee little drive was perfect ![]() So I'm thinking the brakes my be my last issue and i'm tempted fix it in a celebratory way - what brakes are going to fit that bill with 16" wheels? - originals with s/s pistons - above professionally painted -any othe options? |
