I ordered the new clamps and fitted them last weekend to see how well they fit.
The difference is just an extra rubber grip, which means both sides of the clamp now have a rubber grip, a small change but one that really does work and grips the inside underneath of the Defenddr door mirror arm really tightly now without any movement. I do however and will continue to do so just for extra security fit a zip tie through the hole on the clamp and around the arm. I think so, yes, with the standard arms folded out I can see the side of the van which must mean I can also see the required area on the diagram. Maybe it's a seating position thing... i don't have my seat very far back so perhaps being closer to the mirror gives me a better viewing angle than someone who has their seat pushed a long way back. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/ |

Can anyone confirm on this post if the wolf mirror arms pushed outwards meet the regulations?
I have seen another thread where people are using them for towing and obviously they will give a better view than standard. I think I would prefer them as apposed to standard plus towing mirrors. What are your thoughts? |
