No personal experience but saw one today on the back of a camper van. It looked pretty secure in fairness, though it only had a scooter on it.
I was never a fan of trailers, ended up buying a VW Transporter when I had to carry my sport bikes around a fair bit. Strong people are harder to kill and generally more useful! |

No problems when I had my NAS 90 to have the bike on the back.
![]() Click image to enlarge I was using a "motojack rack". Not sure if they are still available, but it's an amazing device. Basically a scissor lift with a bottle jack. Bike secures to the rack by anchoring the foot pegs. Very easy to load uno unload with 1 person, and you don't need a ramp. it's a Landrover thing... my renovation thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40792.html |

Did many a mile with my CR250 / WR250 on the back of my D2, my P38 & then my TD5 90.
Never ever needed to use a jack or ramp etc as MX / Enduro bikes are so light - simply lift the front on first then the rear ![]() You can still use the 3rd lane of the mway and it's more secure from a lockability point of view. Only times I ever had problems was when I forgot about it and took my D2 in for a service / MOT at the MD with it still attached ![]() |

Hi Carl, I had one of these, it was fab, worked better without the spare wheel on, but worked with too.
I eventually put a tennis ball over the bar end, to stop it scratching the glass. ![]() Click image to enlarge |

Thanks for the input gents
![]() I would like to fab something up myself, sit the bike a little further back so that it misses the spare wheel & the bars don't hit the window. Does anyone know anything regarding the law, it looks like the bike will stick out past the sides of the vehicle. I can't see any problem, cyclists have their bikes hanging out all over the place. I doubt it will stick out further than your mirrors, mine didn't.
