Cold weather rattle in front right of dashboard.
I had this last year, it went away until the temperature dropped this winter, & now its back again.

The rattle, coming from the front right corner of the dashboard, sounds like a wire, loose bit of plastic or connecting block is knocking against the inside of the moulding.

Has anyone any idea of what might be loose that needs taping down or re-fixing, if its come loose from somewhere?

No noise when the vehicle is standing still, but once moving, the knocking starts.

My XS is still under warranty at present. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Have a look at the rubbers on the bonnet hinges. They can wear allowing slight movement giving a noise like this. See if there is any movement in the bonnet.Mine needed rubber inserts. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I've got a rattle too, but I've only done 2000 miles.

Mine sounds like a wire or loom rattling when going over bumps (so all the time).

When the weather warms up above freezing I was going to try and have look. Barney

Doesn't sound metallic in any way, & unless its stethoscoping, sounds like happening inside the vehicle. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world.
