1st one looks like a wide track MKII as it has no master cylinder for the brakes so must have the drums, not sure about the 2nd, it looks like a MKIII as it has the master cylinder. On the 2nd trailer you can see the hand brake lever underneath but i'm not sure what the red handle is on top, looks like some kind of hydraulic lever.

I think the red hand is for rotating the jockey wheel away into the horizontal stow position. (why are you asking about the red handle...doesn't it say) and more to the point why have I answered
 
looks like mine which I am lead to believe is a Wolf / Mk 3 wide track? |

The red handle on the 2nd trailer looks like some kind of hydraulic pump or lubricating pump handle.

They both look pretty tidy. I can't help which mark they are but would it be rude to ask what sort of money these are going for?

The first trailer looks strange. It does not have the normal Sacol damper of the mark 2 and there is no sign of the mechanism that is actuated by the end of the damper to apply the brakes. Nor the hand brake lever. Do the brakes actually work?

Sorry ignore the above - I think that it is all there but difficult to see. Reckon someone has fitted the MK 3 Bradley damper to the mark 2 - fine as long as it all works.

First definitely a Mk2 widetrack, second definitely a mk3 wolf with an additional hand hydraulic pump or similar. Last time I saw one of those on a trailer it was a hydraulic tilt bed?! Could someone have modified a mk3 into a tipper?

Many thanks I spotted that, but £500 with reserve not met, I reckon that will be £1500 which is too strong for what I want it for and also it looks as though it has a fixed tail gate, Looked very good condition though Thanks for sharing !!  |

Think your bang on as the 2nd one has a added top that seller states opens hydraulically... hence what the lever must be for? I'm not keen on that part so would remove the top bit anyway (the checkered bit) |

If you're trying to decide between a mk2 and a mk3, think about what you're going to tow it with and how. A mk3 was designed to sit level or ever so slightly nose heavy behind a defender wolf which has a 1.5" lift and the nato hitch was on the cross member.A widetrack mk2 designed to go behind a SIII at I believe std ride height with a cross member mounted hitch which has s somewhat lower. As the last thing you want is a light hitch (which would happen with a mk2 on a lifted defender) as it'll make it prone to snaking particularly when loaded. If however you have a NAS rear bumper and a std height defender a mk2 would actually sit better (although can't find a picture to confirm).

I Have a std Defender 110 (normal height) and probably will go for a Mk2 Sankey as these seem more common. I assume with a drop hitch I can get the correct height as I do want it to sit level. I could always remove the rear wheel and put the nato hitch directly onto the cross member (would rather not have to) Its just for camping gear and probably put the bike it it also (on top on a rack) Would this set up be level? Thanks |
