I've already pm'd him about this. I'm in for a group buy as my wife's 90 is screaming out for one of these, although where to fit in a pre Puma?

I believe someone mentioned the only difference is to do with the size/shape of the mounting unit... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |

Rechargeable with dock?
Only small rechargeable ones I found had separate cable with wall or 12v plug - not ideal. I think £90 odd is reasonably good value considering how quality & smart it looks. Each to their own though. Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Now that the group buy is going ahead, would someone that's feeling brave document the fitting process in the puma dash?

So I took the plunge..... and cut a massive hole in my dash!!!
I masked off the panel where the torch would be installed and cut using the Dremel; Click image to enlarge I tried to block the little shavings of plastic from going down inside the dash but it was useless. In the end I just used the hover after to clean up the best I could. Next I sanded down the hole and made it all look neat, I also had to cut back the reinforcement behind the hole so the new metal reinforcing bracket would fit flush to the back of the dash; Click image to enlarge I glued in the new metal reinforcing bracket; Click image to enlarge Installed the torch; Click image to enlarge Wired it up using the supplied loom for now. The green charging light is flashing so it all seems to be working. |
