Help Honeymoon over Limp Mode
Gents, can anybody shed any light on the following problem?

64 plate, with 16000 miles, serviced at 10000.

Has just started going into limp mode and EML light coming on when you give it some welly!

Stop it (when not on the motorway), and restart all ok for a while. Then same again.

The EML has been reset three times now after showing P0101-Mass or Volume Airflow-Circuit Range Performance, each time.

Air flow sensor has been changed twice Hella and Ford OE (at great Cost), still no change to symptoms.

Might struggle to take it back to Land Rover under warranty as it has had over 100 mods!

It has been running perfectly for over a year with mods, so can't put it down to that!

Any ideas, Please?

Main Dealer Diagnosis
Well dropped the truck off this morning at Farnells Bradford. Had to drive round the block 3 times to get the EML light up.

Diagnosed a Cracked intercooler (Upgraded to an Allisport 14 months ago)!!

Picked up, washed, cleaned, valeted, diagnosed and no charge. Even though it has been remapped and had a few mods! ER 105. Service was good if your spending 100k on a Range Rover, blooming excellent if you have spent 23k on a 90 van!! Thumbs Up

Will drop in at my garage to check it is a cracked Intercooler tomorrow.

14 months, do I argue the toss or just buy a new Intercooler ?

Where has it cracked? How unusual...

Sounds like a FOC replacement to me I think... unless it was fitted under torsional tension with odd bolt lengths etc...

That's great service too! Thumbs Up YOLO... You Only Live Once...

Allisport Intercooler Cracked !!
Yep it's been confirmed Intercooler is leaking!

Next bone of contention, bought on the 19-11-14 installed 2 weeks later.

Now leaking, garage spoke to TMD and have to post Intercooler back at my cost.

TMD / Allisport will assess the Intercooler and then make a descison !

Now without my Keeper for the foreseeable Embarassed

Given the fact that I have spent the same on my keeper as the truck cost, and the majority was with TMD, not a happy bunny Big Cry

At least Farnells would have given me a Disco to drive round in while they changed the OEM kit Thumbs Up

Cheers WYL

I would ring and ask to speak to the MD. Explain your situation and see what he has to say.
Mention that you only bought their products as someone on this forum recommended their products.
I think they may have a different view then.

Good luck.

If the intercooler is leaking, they will replace it I am certain.

Where is it leaking? In the matrix? Or from a fitting?

I would just order a new one, get that fitted and continue to enjoy your 'keeper'.

You can fight any battles in your own time rather than waiting for TMD to say yay or nay. I cannot imagine a small company like them would want any 'bad press' over the cost of an intercooler. Things go wrong from time to time... that is why we get warranties!

Good luck Thumbs Up YOLO... You Only Live Once...

If it was an allisport one you've done well to get 16000 out of it. Mine was scrap in under 10k...

Back on the Road!
Well got my Keeper back!

Will find out tomorrow if it is fixed.

Had to buy a new Intercooler from TMD.

Old one is getting TNT'd in the morning to Allisport, so should know pretty quickly if it's a refund on the replacement.

It appears one of the welds was defective and started leaking when under pressure, IE: giving it some gas!

It's sorted, Farnells diagnosed it, Finishing Touch sorted it! Thumbs Up

Faulty Intercooler on it's way to Allisport, let's see what they say.

Truck pulls like a train, happy bunny. Razz
