Can't wait

Hi Filks

Just thought I would let you know I am coming back into the fold with a new Defender

I had a new one on order from Sept 2014 with the dealer who said they would wait and actually place the order as late as possible with LR and they did this in Jan of this year. When I asked about delivery they said it would not be till Sept this year due to production. Apparently they placed an order for someone else just prior to mine and were told a July build date so placed my order just after thinking it would be built in August sometime

In late Feb I went in for a coffee and was asked if I wanted my Defender as she was built

I was told LR had increased production and were building all placed orders prior to building the special editions so my build date was brought forward much to my annoyance

The dealer offered to refund my deposit and then went on to sell he at full price so they made a further 8% (agreed discount when I placed my order).

At the Peterborough show in Sept the salesman came over for a coffee and was chatting and I happened to jokingly say "have you any new Defenders for sale" and he said they had been allocated a further 4 the night before but there would be no discount and the build date would be late Jan/early Feb 2016 so I placed the following order there and then;

Defender 110 CSW XS
Montalcino Red with Black Contrast Roof
Privacy Glass
Diamond Turned Wheels with MTR's
Carpet Set

Just called the dealer and she is in line for a mid Feb build date so will be one of the last off the production line

Now to order some bits

Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free

"UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.

Hi Martin

I was told the last day for a factory tour was the 20th Jan and the final week of production was the 28th Jan that will run into Feb. They are stopping the factory tours a week before they stop production for some reason

Just getting the standard XS seats so thinking of an upgrade for the 2 fronts - any suggestions?

bar for the rims, had bog boosts, as a set of Bowlers were being fitted

I also went for the std XS seats,, as gen SVX recardo's were going in California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1
