Fitted near rear Boot trim, Very happy with results
Hello

One of those jobs that really does lift the look of the boot.

Took off the old trim, cleaned and polished underneath and then added some black rubber seal on the side rubbers also. Looks So much smarter when the boots open. Only down side I didn't have new screws to may replace them soon.

Looks tidy. Thumbs Up

You will be doing it again in a year or so.
Have a look for a Stainless steel one next time you have to do it.
I would change the screws and put a bit of grease on them before you put them back in.

Just experience and have done it myself on numerous occasions Shocked

Any links for the SS version

Your right about the screws and grease I will change them soon and do that before they corrode !

We supply both 7 hole and 8 hole versions in stainless [url=http://www.4x4overlander.com/product/defender-rear-door-sill-stainless/]here[\url]

We are the only UK company which supplies a 8 hole version and automatically supply paste with our stainless screws. The 8 hole version is supplied for those original strips which have sheared screws. It is easier to start again with a different hole pattern then to drill out a sheared screw and NOT land up with an enlarged screw hole.

I would have gone for that if I new, this will do me ok for now. Its 100% better than how it was.

My list is quite long but nothing individually is too expensive, so I will slowly add things as I can.


Its this sort of thing that appeals to me with the Defender rather than my previous 'normal' car
