I seem to remember reading on here that one of the tuners did some testing and the standard paper came out best. On the phone now so searching isn't that easy.....

Hi Brad
I wouldn't bother with aftermarket, I've had my 90 fettled and didn't notice a difference at all. Save the cash and buy OE. Life is one big adventure, that's why we have the vehicle for the journey.

I have run an ITG filter on my Puma for nearly 7 years, it was the very first extra I bought. Has served me well with no issues at all. Just don't expect any significant enhancement as a result except the saving on the cost of filter changes.

Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Pete Bell did a test on a 2.2 with all different brands of filters and the paper original came out best by about 3-4HP if I remember correctly

EDIT - Found the link http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic21125.html

I used to have a K&N on my previous re-mapped Td5, I eventually got fed up with washing and re-oiling it every so often and went back to a standard paper filter - noticed no difference whatsoever.

The straight through exhaust centre box on the other hand Cool Thumbs Up
