Why do you want them both the same??? General vehicle batteries dont like to be drawn right down and cycled as much as Leisure batteries, You can get two the same physical size relatively easily if that helps. |

I've run these for many years, and only had one problem with one, once. I then spoke to the manufacturer who told me that the problem I was having was due to the battery not being used enough, and it should be fully charged with a good quality charger. There advise was to once a year give both batteries a good charge via mains charger and alternate between my starter and leisure battery. Since then, that is what I've done and have noticed an improvement with the batteries in all operations.

Hi Dave, Decision made what I had read here http://www.mobilecentre.co.uk/images/Data_...ue_Sea.pdf "Because we are joining the batteries in parallel, the make-up of the batteries used and their internal resistance need to be as similar as possible, so there is no risk of a charge imbalance caused by two different batteries having different charging requirements" Cheers Steve |

tatra805 once posted something very educational about battery types. Definitely worth a read.
http://www.defender2.net/forum/post189242.html#189242 You never actually own a Defender. I chucked a couple in12 months ago, used all blue sea gear from the mobile centre. ( very good service!) now where I live and with ambient temps the expectation is for a good battery is too last two years. I will let you know. However like already said, bit like fuel consumption it's very hard to be definitive! I will report in time when l chuck em!
