200tdi ignition intermittently dead after dash out yesterday
Replaced the dash binnacle mount without disconnecting any wires - job went fine, put it all back together and drove it back into the garage. Good job!

Today, no dash warning lights and won't start. Lights work, interior, radio etc all fine. Dash pod off again and the warning lights all come on again. Starts no problem and gets as far as the end of the drive (all of 10 yards) and then dead again. Repeat the process and get 50 yards, Still can't find any lose wires behind the dash Banging Head

Rechecked again and can see nothing odd and now again appears fine but reluctant to go for a test drive as it suddenly stopping without warning is rather generous!

Obviously the wiring got a bit of a pull about but is there any one wire behind the dash that could effectively kill the whole ignition like that?
