How do I 'shrink' a 4mb photo to 'Avatar' maximum size!
Non 'geek' here guys!

How on earth do I go about reducing the 'size' of a 4mb mage to the tiny size that is allowed for use as my Avatar then?

United Kingdom 
open it in Microsoft Paint, click on resize and you can select there what size you want the output. Click on SaveAs to save it to a different filename

Creating a "Large" image from the resizer linked to by gilarion is no bad thing, and then uploading that instead of the original image, it'll drastically cut the upload time from your computer to the site.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
