Just a wild guess as I am no expert on these things but could it be the DPF doing a regen cycle occasionally? Assuming Thai spec Defenders have the DPF and that it wasn't removed as part of the exhaust mod.

The deeper sound is the dpf working and then going off, the only way to get a nice sound is to de car/de DPF it but we are not aloud in the UK 😞

Thank you for your reply. So I can assume this is a regeneration cycle for the DPF? How often does it usually happen? My driving weather conditions: hot, sometime lots of traffic. But don't usually hear the sound when in traffic (mileage 11,000)
What does the regen suppose to sound like? |

Reg comes up every 400km, more or less.
