Watch Out, Expedition Trailer on Ebay Too good to be true !
Won a nice looking Expedition Trailer last night on Ebay last night for £2250
Thought it was odd that it only had 1 pic on the listing and a very low reserve,
Had some negotiation with the seller through his email over buying it before the item ended but was put off by his demands of paying upfront for it, so bid on it instead.
Alarm bells started ringing when the seller insisted on being paid by bank transfer and not cash on collection.
Then insisted on a £1000 deposit again paid by bank transfer and was reluctant to give me a phone number or collection address.
Got the sellers contact details through Ebay and called them to find they knew nothing about the transaction !
The bank account was in a totally different name from the registered seller and he refused a deposit by Paypal
He is now trying to get me to cancel the transaction so he can try and sell it to someone else by s
It has now been reported second chance offer or buy it now !
Shame because it looked a right bargain !!!
