Absolutely nothing wrong with pattern wheels whatsoever.

Just off to see if i still have the pictures of "cheap copy wheels" bent and cracked,, some were Audi, the other was from a Volvo

The cost difference in a small percentage on a new vehicle after its all paid for,, plus no hassell from the insurance company when you tell them they are copy alloys !!! let alone the resale value between genuine and copys
Plus check the weight ratings as they are going on a 110

Like i said, i would not buy copy or "style" wheels, but each to there own California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

I would only fit Original LR wheels to mine also.

Insurance companies don't like non standard wheels.

The cost difference as stated isn't worth the saving.

I would wait and save the extra bucks and buy originals

Actually the cost difference is pretty high as far as I understand.

Also, I find it hard to believe that large companies such as LRI and Paddocks would sell wheels (that have a lifetime warranty) that would render the vehicle uninsured.

Oh and by the way, having "genuine" wheels (that arent actually manufactured by the vehicle manufacturer) is no guarantee of quality... I had a Seat that was only a few years old that suffered a cracked rim after hitting a pothole, and not a very big pothole at that....

The point with insurance is if you have a bash in your car and the loss adjuster checks over the car and finds you have a non genuine set of wheels on it that you have not declared because they look the same as the factory fit items they will not pay out.
It was just a please be careful when buying non genuine parts. Not that the quality is different.

Fully agree,, Had a new RS4 in 2001 ? The alloys were made of chocolate,, Audi put 3 sets of rims on that one !! California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

Ref Insurance. On new vehicles you will more than likely find that your insurance premium goes up if you fit non manufactuer wheels on older vehicles 5 - 10 yr+ plus its not too bad. This even goes for tyres !!!!!!!

Also as said you need to check the weight limit of the wheels if its for a 110. You will need to know the manufacture and then get in contact with them and see what the limit is. Just cause its a copy doesnt mean its rated the same

Quality of the wheels is one thing, and I'm sure something is saved in quality which reflects the price but most people I have heard from seem to be happy... except a few that say the gloss finish goes matt rather too quickly! Maybe that doesn't bother you, or perhaps you will think if I buy cheaper I expect that sort of thing? For me, I'd be rather disappointed but you can probably get them repainted if you need.

I believe the copies from LRI and most of the ones listed for £500-600 a set are all from Brit Part, they have them made by a factory. If anyone wants, I could ask my contact and see if they could disclose more on specs etc..

In terms of looks and finishes I think they are quite good. For light duty, they should be ok...

Might be worth bearing in mind that the LRI ones (so maybe other aftermarket as well) have a little more offset than OE which could be useful?
