Yes, I'm now sold on the switch idea Very Happy

Now I'm being thick again.....Have I got this right?

So the signal wire relies on a +ve signal to activate the camera. Thus if the camera is powered from an ignition live point (I guess the same one that powers the head unit is fine) then run the +ve of the camera and the signal feel live through a single pole switch and that all works nicely?

Yes,that would work!

I used a separate + feed for the switch as the camera-box is hidden behind the dash and it was easier to take a feed from the new fuse-box in the under-cubby storage box. The switches I use also need a ground for the built-in lights (amber/red).
