Fan control terminals

Hello!

Whilst re- plumbing my aerial cables due to a cock up I took the instrument binnacle out.

On the left hand side the heater blower control, there's one terminal at the top and two at the bottom. I'm not sure if they were ever connected or not but o noticed that the one up from bottom ie middle was connected but the wire to the one at the top and the wire to one at bottom weren't connected.

Should they be?

Middle connection - green/yellow - speed 1 (slow)
Bottom connection - green/slate - speed 2 (less slow)

I'd better whip it off and check. I took my best guess and it seems to work fine so I assume it must be correct.
