Stereo Wiring Assistance - With Picture
Hi,

Another job on the list. This time to sort out a stereo in a 200tdi. It didn't come with a head unit, but does have speakers and a mass of wires behind the dash. To add to the fun, at some point a mobile car kit has been fitted.

I've put a picture below showing what I'm currently working with. I'm assuming the black connectors are for the stereo. Is there an adapter out there that would take this type of fitment? Every stereo i've fitted in the past has had a single or double DIN connector from the loom so this is a new one for me. Any help would be great Thumbs Up

Looks like you'd have to wire to ISO DIN male plugs.

The more time consuming part will be to I.D. Each connection using a multimeter.

It'd be a good idea to trace the wires to especially live to check it's a decent enough gauge and fused appropriately.

All aftermarket HU's / stereos have DIN connection.

Cheers Steve. I checked and couldn't find any plug and play adapters. I'll start to go through them one by one.
