Overland Defender in progress
Hello from Hamburg,

I bought my defender beginning of 2013. First thing I did was buying a roof tent and started a trip to Norway. Three weeks no hotel, no luxuries. We were fishing, hiking, enjoying life. No telephone or Internet.
Next trip was Corsica. Same here, we loved the trip and life without things you don't need. Last summer we tried out the alps (Austria, Switzerland, France and Italy) and got addicted.

What was missing during our trip was the real adventure. Therefore, we will convert our defender 110 to a camper, safe as much money as possible, quit our jobs and realize our dream: a trip from Hamburg to Cape Town or the Panamericana.

Well, still a long way to go, but it's still a step by step progress. Next step is a pop top roof which we will order soon.

Best regards
Malte

I second that. The more I look at house prices here in the south east of England the more I reckon my cash would be better spent travelling!

Keep the dream alive MalteHH.

I'll be looking for a 110 myself when I finish my wife's 90 that I can turn into an expedition vehicle. Then the plan for the very first trip will be a run to Morocco.
