South Africa 2010 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 SW Alpine White
Camper options in Germany or Netherlands
Hi all,

SWAMBO wants to do a 1-month tour of Europe in 2016. We will fly either to Amsterdam or Munich and then the plan is to rent a car or camper and drive around EU, and maybe even catch a Formula 1 race somewhere.

I'm basically looking for advice on the camper rental options - would it be cheaper/better to rent in Germany or Netherlands? The camper does not have to be a Defender, it can be any vehicle, but must be able to sleep 2 comfortably - no roof-top tent, and kitchenette/toilet would also be preferable.

Also, another option is if a member here runs such a business, I would prefer to give him/her my business Thumbs Up --

You could try http://www.volkswagencampers.nl/?gclid=CMLc3YTZvsQCFRQatAodblgAHg

Germany might be less expensive.

There will be plenty Arno je munich. I would recommend a VW T5 or similar. Perfect car. A defender is not needed, hard to get and would be expensive.

Best regards
Malte

Two examples. Try to contact them. I guess they will speak English. Otherwise I could translate if needed.
