2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 HT Keswick Green

New 2.2 Puma intake/side vent noise

Hi Guys

I wonder if you can help me work out if this is expected.

I had a TD5 90 SW a few years ago and a few test drives in Puma prior to choose our 90 2015 hardtop so have had some experience in defenders.

But driving our new one there seems to be quite a lot of 'blowing' from the side vent on the drivers side. Not too noticeable when window up but when down there is quite a bit of intake 'flapping' when excellerating and a smaller amount on tick over when warmed up.

Is this a characteristic of the 2.2?

Thanks very much, that's a relief. It's not an unpleasant noise just different. Tends to sound a bit nicer as the engine warms up.
