Stainless bolts for all hinges
Question I am thinking of changing all the hinge bolts with stainless ones, problem is that a set from the UK is 66 odd pounds and that = about half a million down here in the red dust.
Has any one found bolts todo the job with out changing the captive nuts in the pillers , eg whats the thread/pitch required ????

Can't give you the tech details mate - but I replaced all mine for about 7 quid (trade price) - a local hardware store had all the right sizes in stainless and they look/work just as good.

Save yourself some dough - I'm sure WA has loads of hardware places.

4 hours drive Shocked - now that's a shopping trip..... Laughing

Good idea about using a marine suppliers though. I live on the coast in a village with a marina. They do loads of great bits and pieces in the chandlers that can be used on yer Landy - 'cos most of it is waterproof Very Happy
