Can you use later vent handles on 2000my TD5
Can you put the vent handle from a late td5 ie the one which have a threaded knob on the end on a earlier TD5 with the vent handles with the moulded plastic end?

Not without changing quite a lot of stuff, the inner frame of the dash that they hinge and latch on is different as is the dash fascia itself.

I had the same idea myself with one of my previous Defenders, a 2001, when I fitted a later style dash to it, I eventually gave up on the levers and cut the dash slots a little wider to make the old ones fit the new dash.
