Thanks very much.
I got the dealer's own version of the maintenance check sheet but it wasn't as detailed as the LR one. However I think they probably did all that was on the LR sheet. I suspect the door hinges were lightly oiled too, having looked more closely this morning. That being the case, I can give Sturgess of Leicester a pat on the back as they got me booked in and off in a courtesy Freelander 2 within 15 minutes of arriving, and the van was ready on the dot when they said it would be. Their price for the Castrol Edge 5W-30 C1 oil was competitive with anything I can find on-line too. |

Can you post up what you got?
Did you get a copy of the Land Rover Annual Inspection six year anti-perforation warranty? |

I also only got the vehicle health check, but also received a electronic copy and also a video of the health checks being carried out on my vehicle.
I paid £10.29 more than you... but was quoted anything between £250 and £460 for an oil and filter change! I decided against taking it to the cheapest dealer due to mileage and time i would have to work back at work. |

^^Nope, not at all! Warranty is unaffected by rust proofing

For my first service a few weeks ago I got
(1) an oil and oil filter change (2) a valet (interior clean out), the outside washed with a pressure jet (maybe checking for leaks - that I don't have) and they also attempted to clean the waxoyl off the chassis ....... but gave up after a while leaving about 90% of it intact. (3) a check that nothing was hanging off, rattling loose or had failed (none of which applied) (4) a check there was no corrosion - maybe that's why they tried to remove the waxoyl with a pressure washer. (5) some other checks (like tyre pressures and fluids) that don't really require a 'technical specialist' being charged out at a main dealer hourly rate |

I can't scan things at present I'm afraid, so I can't post it. And they didn't provide anything relating to the 6 year anti-perforation warranty. |

No problem - they hopefully have done the Land Rover Annual Inspection - but if you are, like me, slightly OCD on what they have and haven't done, then you might like to invite them to send you a copy of the paperwork to confirm.
It is after all a requirement of the warranty to have this inspection done annually and you don't want to run into issues infuture years because of a lack of paper trail. |

As far as I know they only tick the detailed check list as per the above link to confirm corrosion inspection has been done.

[quote="Joe the Plumber"]I've just got my 2.2 2014 van back from its first service. For £299.71, it had the engine oil and filter changed and apparently all the other official LR work too. £192 of that was labour, the rest the oil, filter, 'oil drain plug' and 'Wurth Multi-cleaner'.
Hi, Do you mind letting me know where you got it done for £299.71? I've just been quoted £411.26 for our Defenders 1st service - basically as I understand for just an oil change and look over!!! ![]() |

Ask about the service plan deals or a loyalty discount deal - 3 dealers I spoke to all quickly offered 10% when I said was there any deals on offer. Apparently only a mug pays list price.
