United Kingdom 2013 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS DCPU Keswick Green
Bonnet Buffers
Noticed whilst I was changing out the rusted grill screws that the bonnet buffer was a little short and the vibrating had rubbed away the paint on one side.

When I went to adjust it to make it a little longer, there didn't seem much thread left, so I decided to, clean the area, add a dab of paint and then use a felt pad to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Might be worth checking yours - is there freeplay in the bonnet front corners when closed?

They can be an un-even in load.
I find the best way to adjust is to shut the bonnet, put a finger under and adjust until the stop is against the body.
