Brake failure.
The 110 has just had its 3rd trip on the back of a lorry back to a dealer for repair.
We had just loaded up the trialer onto the trailer and was going to set off down the hill when the brake pedal hit the floor. A check underneath showed a puddle of brake fluid and reservoir emtying itself.
One of the brake pipes has been in contact with the heat shield and over time has worn its way through the pipe. Looks like it was like this from being constructed. Anyone else with this problem
So far 5 warranty trips to the dealers in 10 months.

Tony

These are the pictures of where the brake pipe has gone through at the back of the heat shield.

We had something similar but was the vacuum pump broken (according to the dealer)...
If I remember well there is a special Bulleting regarding that in the GTR database.

I checked - mixed bag, one pipe not in the clip running up to the bulkhead clip lost its clipieness.

Cabletied that to the bracket - luckily not touching the heat shield. Also put a loose tie round the other clip.

One question, i placed a thin cable tie round one of the pipes as despite them all being in and in their clips it was touching the other break pipe and that didnt seem good, so ive at least put some platic between them - any comments? Mike
