Tunisia Trip Jan 2011.............
A mate of mine is organising a trip to Tunisia in Jan , the details i have attached below are all i have so far and translated from German with Google Thumbs Up
The trip is for bikes quads and cars , the cars would have to drive to Genoa to catch the ferry but bikes and quads would be collected from Venlo in Germany and taken there and back leaving the rider to fly in and out. The way its planned will allow 8 days in the dunes Very Happy

Common meeting point is the port of Genoa Saturday 12.00 pm! Arrival in Tunis is usually between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday.

-Sunday Evening arrival at the hotel Caspar in Kairouan. Common food. One night.

-Monday. Morning departure to Ksar Ghilane (350 km)

-Monday. Afternoon meeting (with Flugangereisten in k.g..) Small settling round to Fort, accordance with dinner, night in the tent or hotel

- Tuesday. Morning departure towards the Lake, that then 8 days sand dunes pure ever free can cultural days/nights are woven

-Wednesday. Return to k.g. loading of vehicles/luggage, according dinner, night in the tent or hotel

-Thursday morning departure to Hammamet, arrival in the evening, accommodation in Hotel Atlanis

-Friday. morning departure from Tunis port -Saturday noon arrival in Genoa

8 days in the dunes Shocked Shocked . On the last 2 trips to Morocco we did 3-4 days on each trip. And to be truthfull that was more than enough for me. I know the D3 isn't the best performer in the sand. Well not when I'm driving it. I'd rather be up in the mountains and doing other stuff rather than dune bashing.
So that counts me out Thumbs Up 110 D250 SE HT

But will agree with Walfy,, 3/4 days of tune bashing, is enough for me,,

Yes im taking the quad Thumbs Up it will be a great in the dunes Very Happy bring yours along. I plan on doing several trips next year with it, the most fun i`ve ever had offroad was with the quad at this years Dresden Breslau Very Happy

I will know more after the weekend as my mate is out in Germany with the chap organising it. As far as im aware all we need to take is a sleeping bag as everything else is taken care of ie tents and hotels.
