England 2002 Defender 110 Td5 SW Coniston Green
Partly to bring this thread back up but also a question for the AS10 Guru's out there.

I have my EKA code via reading my Td5 110 with a Nanocom, the question is how the hell do I use it when I haven't got central locking, never fitted from factory so there is no electrickery that can be activated by locking and unlocking the motor. Is there another way, apart from Nanocom via the OBD socket, to use the EKA code?

The 10AS EKA code is entered by using a combination of turns of the ignition key and opening and closing the drivers door to enter the number, the 10AS detects this with the ign live and the drivers door sensor .

From the manual:

Doh Embarassed Totally my error. The last time I really had a look at entering an EKA code on a LR product it was a Disco 1 and that was so many turns to the left then the next digit gave the turns to the right etc etc.
I should have really RTFM

Hi Mike,
Dont know if you can help or perhaps somebody else may know.Have always had with new Defender a security card with security details eg EKA code and radio code etc,My 2013 came with no codes neither did my 2012 model but the dealer gave me the codes off the computer. For my 2013 they are now saying they are not necessary .Ive got a feeling that the radio does not need one because ive had the battery disconnected and the radio came back on afterwards(its alpine unit)
but am sure that the alarm and immobiliser is still the same as older units. Also didnt get keys for locking fuel cap but am told that you dont use them because if they want to get your fuel they just force it off anyway.Perhaps you should not put door locks on or ignition locks either because if they really want them they will force them anyway.Perhaps i ought take the losks off doors at home as well.Think somebody cant really be bothered myself.

Pardon my ignorance but what is an eka code?
