Power drop & brake fade (imaginary?)
Hi all,

I'm hoping this is a figment of my imagination.

Yesterday we took the landy to the sand dunes to play.

As soon as I pulled out from the driveway onto the road, I thought/imagined that there was a drop in power from 2nd gear onwards. However, the landy is still able to hit 100kmh at 2000rpm, it just seems it's taking longer to get there and I have to rev harder while going through 2nd, 3rd, 4rd & 5th.

Also, it seems that there is a lack of braking power - seems to me that I am pushing harder on the brake pedal to decelerate the landy.

There are no obvious signs that anything is wrong - no oil/fluid leaks anywhere, bonnet is clean inside, and my EMS2 is not reporting anything out of the ordinary (EGT, oil pressure, coolant level & temp).

Consumption is on par, we did 285km on half a tank, which is almost 10l/100km, although the dune climbs were being done at (almost) full throttle in 2nd high, so would worsen consumption..

So, am I imagining these symptoms or not!? Neutral
