Can anybody recommend a good rear seat entertainment kit/screen? I have ordered the premium seat upgrade so the headrest mounted screens are a no go - it'll have to be a flip down roof mount. Anybody here fitted one?
There are a few on the bay, was looking for around the 15" mark. With video in and out but was put off by the generic descriptions. Wireless headphones are a bonus but not a necessity. Rear seat entertainment seems to be a bit "old hat" now, have you thought about getting maybe a couple of iPad mounts and say fitting a couple of 12v sockets to charge them in the back of the cubby box? Cheers, David

Regarding flip down ones though. There's a huge number of options with a variety of inputs and capabilities on eBay. If you search 'flip down dvd' then lots come up. Cheers, David

Alpine do a good flip down roof mounted one that comes with a plastic mount that can be trimmed to suit the shape of the defender roof lining. Does games console input and TV input too.
But at £600ish plus head phones and the work involved in wiring up plus the increased theft attraction I've gone with the Hudl's with a memory card and movies saved to them. More movies can be carried and less chance of kids damaging the roof player changing disc's. Portable charger or USB from 12v socket. |

I have looked at the ones on eBay and you can get ones with big functionality but it was the quality I was worried about.
I am really looking for a permanently mounted solution. Budget isn't set really. I only intend fitting it once so quality rules 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

Just had a quick look at the alpine. £599 including two sets of headphones and a remote. Seems pretty good and being branded I would have thought better quality.
Thanks for everyone's input. Still up for more suggestions though 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |
