Best /easiest place to fit inline immobiliser switch please?
Would anyone who has added a simple hidden in-line immobiliser switch to a 2.2 Defender please be kind enough to PM me with details.

If I understand the posts I have read so far, then breaking the fuel pump feed won't really help as the engine can suck sufficient fuel through to keep it running.

Breaking the starter motor relay feed would still enable the vehicle to be bump started.

There are a number of fuses in the seat box relating to the ECU but I am worried about fiddling here as I don't want to end up screwing up the ECU / 10AS alarm etc.

The above is just to give an extra layer on top of several other steps I have taken to improve my security.

Thanks in advance for any info received which I will treat in confidence.

Sorry to be a spoil sport but personally speaking this kind of information should not be made available on an open forum. Thumbs Up

That is true, I do only have one post. But the reason for that is I have only recently brought my new Defender, I am worried about it getting stolen and have been researching ways of preventing it. I have been a member of the LandyZone forum for years as I also have a Series 2a, but I thought Defender2 would now be more appropriate.

Thanks for the warm welcome....

This directed at Martin for his crap responsr to Yannis ................ I have also only posted a few items, but have yet to to get a reply requesting info about the inline immobiliser..
If this is the attitude of LR people in the UK, I'm out of here. Really disappointed.
