In the workshop manual I can see following picture and "Position vehicle, unladen, on level ground with tyres correctly inflated, approximately 4 metres from a wall or screen, marked as illustrated below. The beam centres 'A' are measured horizontally on the vehicle and dimension 'B' vertically from the ground. Switch on main beam and adjust setting, as necessary, with trimmer screws."

1. you must park the truck on a leveled ground at 4 m from the wall 2. A = distance from the centre of the headlamps 3. B = is the distance of the centre o the headlamps from the floor for a normal truck, in your case is your distance - 2" Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

Maybe I am missing something but surely A wont change and B will be 2" higher. Is this a trick question or am I just stupid?

I thought the B dimension on a 4 m distant wall shall be lower than the lamps itself. I have heard of 1%, so 4 cm lower than the lamps itself. Janusz

A is the same, B is better to regulate like original no lifted truck (may be can disturb the car in front of you).

Switch on main beam and adjust setting, as necessary, with trimmer screws. thats means A is the measure from the centre of the headlamp and B is the vertical measure from the centre of the headlamp and the ground....... In my case I "set-up" the correct alignment with the front headlamp level set to "1", so during off road I put it on "0" for a wider illumination.........................
