Another Scottish Islands Trip
As it seems to be the thing to do at the minute, took myself on a little trip around the Scottish islands. Took a couple of weeks, route took me through Ayr -> Arran -> Kintyre -> Islay -> Glen Nevis -> Skye -> Harris/Lewis -> Inverness-> Aviemore -> Glasgow.

Some stunning scenery, good whisky, surprisingly good weather, and getting spotted on the way home. Few pics of from the way round for starters...

Great scenery and thanks for sharing your pics - although Scotland lacks 'green lanes' for 4X4 fun - which perhaps explains why so may Scottish Defender owners head to England for their scenic trips?

On my last trip to the Highlands I was wishing it would snow and provide some interesting driving, because the Defender rarely got to do what it is designed to do.

Really enjoyed Islay, and as you can see, the weather was indeed fantastic. People there were really friendly too, and every driver waves at you when you pass Thumbs Up 2013 Defender 110 XS DCPU

Will see about putting some more photos up shortly - I've only got a compact camera, rather than an SLR, and some of the scenery was just so amazing, mu shots really don't do it justice.

And as a slight diversion, on the trip over to Arran, the Royal Marines were using the ferry to practice maritime boarding...
