6 days out of warranty
and the Engine Management Light has come on in the 90. Had the Q6873927v96/zwhatever engine software update in April when the clutch was replaced. Anyone here take odds on EGR? Rolling Eyes

Booked in to Dealer next Saturday who will make appropriate noises to LR to get it sorted, despite being out of warranty by less than a week. Conveniently for me I'm at that "shall I, shan't I" stage on whether to keep the D3 or chop it for something else, so will be interesting to see how this develops.

I'd guess, if your egr valve is original, that this may well be the problem - simply because this same pattern of fault has happened to more than 1 fellow Puma owner (including myself) recently. Mine was chocked with carbon. I'm now told to drive my vehicle like a 2 stroke every now and then - say, drop it into 4th @ 100km/h for a few minutes on the freeway, once in a while.

Good luck - hopefully LR won't take up the role of the fellow on the RHS of your avitar.

What we need a is a box from colin at BBS that fools the ECU into thinking the EGR system is operating normally so it can be fully blanked off and forgot about.

Lots of puma's are going to be out of warranty now on do if the disco is anything to go by the egr failures will get worse and worse.
