It's because some cameras and phones now embed into the photo which way up the photo was taken relative to themselves.
So web browsers recognise this, some don't; some apply it to full size images only rather than embedded. It's a total pain. You can upload the photos to the site, then go to the gallery and rotate them back to the correct way round. I know it's a PITA to do it manually but I've not yet found a foolproof way to get around it, sorry. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
