I would also have to mention Front Runner, as a dealer.

All the racks mention before are also a good choice.

The fastening system on FR is great, makes life easy to mount your accessories.

Slightly slimmer build then the Patriot, but they have withstood 140'000 km of Southern African roads and are still going strong.

Having owned 3 Front Runner and 1 Patriot its swings and roundabouts.

The original breed roof rack on my G4 was replaced by a Front Runner under waranty.

I sold this for the Patriot, solid piece of kit and solid back up from Paul & co.

I mounted a Front Runner on the D3 and abused it heavily, (considered the patriot rack for the D3 but went with FR ).

I am now a Front Runner dealer and hence have a Front Runner on the company vehicle.

Good experience with both, so no matter what you buy you won't go wrong.

The Flatdog rack is a copy of the original Front Runer design, so they must have got it right.

Good luck on your choices.

Mounting lights on the Front runner.

If you can bolt it on with a M8 bolt you can mount it on the tracks.

I am doing the same research and really like the roof racks made by Safety Devices.

I also like that as cash becomes available, should I desire, I can fit an external roll cage by them and re fit the roof rack as well.

Just come back from Billing, have a new flat dog roof rack with rear rail on the 110. Looks great and got a really good price, the guys fitted it in a matter of minutes. Very Happy Really pleased with it.

Also bought kbx grille and lamp surrounds in black, black checker plate, external Mantec side window grilles, puma glove box, got some work to do. Will post pic when all done. 1986 3.5L V8 90 SW (gone but not forgotten)

That is some trailer Thumbs Up
