I replaced all of my water and air hoses with silicone and stainless tube and stainless hose clips. My old rubber ones were all finished so needed to replace anyway and thought I would upgrade while I was at it. Really pleased with it all. Just found it all on ebay for a decent price and great quality.

I felt only a very marginal increase in performance but this was probably due to the placebo effect.

The main reason I went silicone was because I found to replace all the turbo hoses with new genuine ones was going to cost about £120 even with discounts to be had. this kit was £35 delivered. It was a no brainer!

Decided to go for black because I wanted to keep it looking OEM.

G-Mak- I can't see it making any difference, for me it came down to cost. If I was going to replace my water hoses I would go Genuine, if a turbo hose comes off, I will have a loss of power lots of noise and no real damage done, if a water pipe lets go it would do damage quickly as the coolant from the head gets pumped out.
What leads you to believe they need changing?
