2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 SW Orkney Grey
Serious rattling/ creaking
I have a serious rattling that has developed. Sometimes it's creaking sound, sometimes it sounds you are shaking a present in a cardboard box, if you know what I mean....
It comes up at speed 55-60kmh very consistently, never at any other speed. Also recent when just moving off and very low speed just before coming to a complete stop....

I got passengers to help me listen out, it appears to be under the floor pan, either in the 2nd row or 3rd... Btw mines a 110sw.... Any idea where to look? Does it sounds like some universal joint or bearing or could it be rim or brakes?

Handbrake to tight causing rattling?

My one friend had a similar issue in his 110. Took it to the dealers who adjusted the handbrake (slacken it off a bit) and noise is gone now. When it is to tight it might cause rattling of the shoes on the shaft.
