"(The)Fender" - Defender 110 SW 2007
Hi!
At last i did find me a Defender 110 SW. I've been looking around for a while to find a used but in "excellent" condition 07-09 Defender, but it's seems to be hard to find one here in Sweden (maybe the owners like their Defenders so much so they don't want to trade them in?) Anyway, i did find me one in really good condition.

My first modification on my Defender Very Happy Very Happy
As you all know, when you start with modification you can't stop, i did manage to have my Defender in stock condition in about 7 month but not anymore.....

First out is the Steering Guard

Think the steering guard looks cool, but it looks silly with the stock wheels.... Land Rover Defender 110 SX Station Wagon 2007

Welcome Guitarplayer,

Looks a lovely vehicle, nice colour too. Let the 'add ons' begin! 20 months later and my 'wish list' doesn't seem to get any shorter....No sooner do you cross one off then you stick another two on!

What are your plans? We can help you spend your money! Thumbs Up

Guitarplayer...You mentioned wheels I had an e-mail a couple of weeks ago Mach5 Wheels are back in production apparently. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

I do like the look of the Mach5 wheels but i've heard that they had quality problems... allmost impossible to have a proper balance on, strong for offroad driving but unbalanced for onroad driving, don't know if its true?
I use my Defender as a daily driver and for holidays so it must be comfortable for onroad driving.

My plans so far is new wheels (tyres and rims) new suspension system (i do like the Old Man Emu) Roof rack.....

Here's some pictures from my earlier projects before i become a "landyman" that shows why i need new wheels:

Guitarplayer, there were indeed quality issues I believe with the first generation and 'cracking.' This was subsequently resolved with the next batch. The new ones are a slighly different design with flared spokes and a different centre.
I run on Mach 5s (non cracking variety) and they are an impressive looking wheel. If you have a tyrefitter worth his salt and a little patience they can be perfectly balanced, if you steer clear of the beadlockers I believe. Mine are perfectly balanced.

I received an e-mail from them stating they were back in production. Here's the link to the original thread I started....
