Yes there are but with the extra torque you will find it extremely difficult to increase your economy as the driving experience and performance capability of your vehicle will outweigh and negate any gains to be had.
Unless you drive like Caterham that is when you would undoubtedly be able to drive to the moon and back on just a thimble full of fuel. ![]() Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Thanks, I've thought that with an extra bit of grunt I wouldn't be squeezing the throttle as hard anyway so I could save a bit of juice that way.

If you are considering a map for pure economy forget it. I have run two different maps on my current vehicle and whilst the performance gains were well worth the investment the economy remained exactly the same after both due to change and adoption of a different driving style.
If you buy a Ferrari you're not going to drive it like a Morris Minor are you? Caterham please do not respond to my last sentence....No need whatsoever! ![]() ![]() Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

![]() I reckon I could do the 'and back bit'.....it's all down hill so no problem ![]() (I'm glad I got my truck dinitrol'd cos it's taking fair longer than I thought it would to iron out all the problems....wouldn't want it turning to a pile of dust before it was all well and truly sorted). |
