steering guard bolts
just purchased an all in one steering guard from killer and wondering if anyone knows what bolts i need to order.
chassis doesn't have a lashing eye so no bolt there, so im gonna need 3! one that goes through the lashing eye point, two rears holes. obviously the front offside bolt is there as it utilises a bolt that goes through an existing bracket. i was thinking M12 approx 135mm. but do i go stainless? does the tensile strenght matter?
cheers for any help My 109 thread

If your not likely to be using it for high stress purposes I.e. In case it's needed / not for using as towing eyes as a looks kind of thing then go stainless but otherwise 8.8 regular or better.
Due to the strength of SS and the likelyhood of shearing it's better to keep regular grade bolts on anything structural as a rule.
It's best based on your intended use really.

Not sure on the size I'm afraid.
If you get any slight surface rust issues just carefully paint on some Dinitrol or Waxoyl on the head.
Will keep them tidy looking then. Thumbs Up
