Green Lanes near La Rochelle
I'll be on holiday near La Rochelle and on Ile De Re in mid June. Anyone know of any particularly good green lanes in that area ? I know there are literally loads of lanes off the roads but if you know of any particularly good ones I'd be very interested, cheers.

In La Rochelle / Ile de Re you are in the Marais, reclaimed land so very flat and loads of canals and ditches. You will need to go inland a bit to find the little lanes.

The area I know north of Lucon there are many tracks and green lanes, I've no idea whether you're allowed to drive or not but no-ones ever stopped us yet.

These are access roads though, very scenic but normally well maintained and a couple of times we've ended up at dead ends or in farmyards, never had a single crossed word though.

Gum, we're there 18th July for 3 weeks - get in touch if you're about.
