Although to be honest, the metal is so thick there that the groove isn't going to cause any hassle. Highly unlikely that it'll "crack" from there as the rubber bush will take up any stress from the axle trying to move.
But for peace of mind, yes the 300Tdi onwards arms for disco (Series1) and defender 300/Td5/puma are the same, it's the wider arms you need. Up to the end of the 200Tdi defender they used the thinner arm with corresponding thinner bush. |
