Netherlands 2003 Defender 90 Td5 PU Caledonian Blue
Dual fuel tank on Td5 but only one filler opening.
I have a 1984 90 with a td5 engine etc. Currently I am using the td5 rear body but I like to change that to the 1984 body after it is painted sandglow. Then I will be installing the original tank again with the original filler opening.
After doing that I have 2 tanks the td5 one and the original 1984 one. I would like o use the original filler opening like Martin did on his 90 and using a pump to get the diesel from the under seat tank to the rear tank.
I couldn't find pictures how Martin did this.
So Martin do you have any pics about this?
What pump did you use and how did you make the fuel line connections as you mention front tank can be displace very quickly, so you probably good size fuel lines.

I thought about another option having one filler opening but a T- juction directely behind that so you can aim the fuel to the front tank or the rear. Problems with this?
I am afraid the fuel will not run quickly enough to the rear tank as the fuel line is quit long and almost horizontal. And I still need an fuel pump, but a smaller one, to tranfer the fuel from the front to the rear when the rear is almost empty.

Any better ideas?

Thanks, Roel
