SORTED: Defender 90 Van Wanted. Cash Waiting.
Afternoon All

We're looking for a 90 Van for the Director of Domestic Affairs -She who must be obeyed!!

SWMBO is going to vet school and we need it to be reliable for the middle of the night lambings etc etc Does need to be a van to keep equipment away from prying eyes. We're on a tight budget with £5500 to spend on vehicle, insurance and making sure it's road worthy and reliable.

Happy to consider most things but if it's got Fred Flintsone holes in the floor pans for 'extra traction' then that's a bit more work than I'm going to be happy taking on.

Tdi or Td5 immaterial but full service history essential and the better the condition and the lower the mileage the better. (heated seats may well be a deciding factor though!!)

If you've got something you're looking to off load then please post on here or PM me.

We're in Derbyshire and happy to travel 70miles or so for something decent and will be in Kent 26-27th.

Thanks very much in advance.

For extra security for van sides you should consider a couple of things:
Can you live with the blind spot having no windows there ?
You might want to consider dark tinted glass for the rear to keep it more private, perhaps Masai glass style.
Consider a dog guard and or Mantec rear window guards, all of it make access to a thief more difficult.
Good luck with the search, just thought I might give you a couple of ideas.
Thumbs Up

Cheers Steve...Though if something comes along with masai sides I'll transplant them on to my 90...
Tinted glass definitely not ruled out though.

Will be giving serious consideration to how to make it more secure.

For that money, a good ex utility 110 would be better value for money. Slot in a couple of blind spot windows, and bobs your mothers brother!
